Ruth Simmonds – Co-Founder

Ruth has taught children from 5-18 years in primary, secondary, special schools and pupil referral units. As a Local Authority Learning Service adviser for 13 years she focused her passion for supporting children and young people, creating a team around them to help them achieve their full potential. She has a University of Sussex Master’s degree in education, has managed a large counselling service and created a people and development department as a small business director.

Ruth’s experience extends across the public, not-for-profit and private sectors and she has been a school governor in both primary and secondary schools, an independent foster panel member, and an independent visitor for children in care. Ruth is a trustee of Sussex Prisoners’ Families and continues to deliver safeguarding training for two national charities.
