Jill Dyson

Jill has had a varied career that has included: nursing and being a ward sister; counselling as part of a therapy training course; working as a teacher and then headteacher; a period as an Ofsted HMI followed by being a Local Authority Advisor in schools. She has worked mainly in the inner city of London until moving down to Brighton nine years ago. She enjoys working with a variety of people and learning from them all.

Four years ago Jill left full time work as a Local Authority Virtual Headteacher for Children in Care and started working for herself, continuing though as a Primary School Governor. She has a great deal of work and life experience now, and likes to use this to advise and guide others.

She has worked with schools and Local Authorities that require support and senior staff and headteachers in struggling schools. Most recentIy she has been involved with a national youth charity, writing and delivering Mental Health training. She enjoys the teamwork necessary for improvements to be a success and the relationships built are always satisfying. Jill has included a ‘coaching’ perspective to some of her work over the last 5 years and enjoys the partnership aspect of this.
